Resting in Him

I am realizing how much I miss writing. I am also realizing how I want to start keeping track of my thoughts, not because my thoughts are ground breaking by any measure, but because the more I read, pray, and think on the ways of the Lord, the closer I feel to Him, and anything that draws me nearer to Him, well...that is worth jotting down.

For the title of this blog, I must say "thank you" to Mr. Andrew Peterson. Oh how I could think of many songs that you have written that have breathed new life into my day, and have warmed my bones (and more importanly...my heart) on the cold and dark early morning drives into work. Every album I have the same thought "It can't he get any better." and then...you come out with the next collection of brilliant stories through song and I always stand corrected.
Rest Easy is one of those songs that puts everything into perspective for me. No matter what I do on any given day, whether it be glorious or just plain rotten, nothing can change the way God views me. He sees me as His child, because I am, and in that and only because of that, can I rest easy, always.

So this blog is dedicated to moving through the ins and outs of life, learning more and more about what God has in store for us, and striving to find my rest in Him alone.

"But he said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Corinthians 12: 9

Here's to Resting Easy
